About me
​My work is characterized by the use of various media and symbolic languages, with the aim of transmitting a contained force and a changing perspective. Association and illustration in my work often give rise to indeterminate narratives that can be freely interpreted or contextualized. I use different materials to materialize ideas, motivated by curiosity and fascination with the cosmos, roots, the feeling of being in space—understood as the universe itself—women, and nature. A significant aspect of my work is related to feminist policies and practices, migration and social justice, racialization and emancipation, highlighting the complexity of human relationships and the idea of ​​transformation to abstract images from other perspectives, so that they acquire a new form for dialogue. with all the social components of the human-urban fabric in which they are grafted.
​The multidisciplinarity of the techniques is the main characteristic in the use of various supports, symbolic languages, in order to transmit a contained force and a changing perspective. The association of painting and illustration in my work often gives rise to intervened embroidered narratives intervened with threads. One of the central interests of my work is the expanded idea of ​​translation, extended to the experimental field through the use of visual, sound, textual and symbolical and textile languages. I am the co-founder of Las Periféricas, a collective of Colombian women artists based in Europe. Our mission is to promote creative and emotional support networks among migrant women, utilizing textile art and collaborative practices as our main tools.​
